For Sale:

One baby. Male, seven months old. Wants to be held all of the time. Also going through a phase in which he wakes up multiple times in the night. Doesn't care that his Daddy is travelling and his Mommy might lose it if he doesn't return to his sweet, easy-going self soon. Accepting offers immediately.

PS: I tried calling in sick to Steve, calling his "emergency contacts" (my sister and BFF) to come pick him up from "daycare," AND asking Grandma to come over. Nobody took me seriously. I need new family and friends.
PS: if you offer enough, I would probably be willing to throw in a blond 3-year-old, as well.

PPS: he was screaming bloody murder until I pulled out the camera. Then he stopped and started smiling at me. Stinker.
PPPS: Dear Child Protective Services, I am obviously not really selling my child on the internet. This is obviously a joke. Don't come to my house.

I would love to take him, because he is adorable and I think you are making it all up. What's one more at our house?

You know, all three of mine were cranky anytime Jeremiah was TDY. It's like it wasn't enough work that I was now doing it all by myself so let's throw in no sleeping too! I would take them for you for a while so you could catch up on sleep and things. I think the girls would have fun together and the boys would probably stare at each other!

Let us know when we can pick him up, we'll take the little sister also.

Hey, that's nice, but did you notice the FOR SALE sign? What's the money offer?

Brandy, the thought of you with 4 children under 2 (sort of!) cracks me up.

I'm thinking you might want to go into hiding. Couple this little "sale" with a certain airport incident not so many months ago and I'm thinking CPS is certainly on their way over.

In THAT case though, I'll definitely take the kids.

make you a deal. i'll take the baby if you take my three year old. that is totally a better deal for you because the three year olds can play dress up while you have a martini (sorry if that's not helping your CPS case), while i will be over here trying to manage two babies who want to be held all the time. whaddya say?

teeth?

No, I don't believe you. That sweet wonderful boy can't possibly be causing you trouble.

And if the camera makes him smile, go ahead and strap that thing to your face for the next few hours to keep him smiling!

Love the post! I miss your sense of humor. I am in some Samantha withdrawal these days. Oh yeah, what is the "airport incident" Erin referred to? Lastly, I have a younger brother of one of your former kiddos. You had Devin Cahill, I have the much younger middle brother.

Male, soon to be 21yrs old, not wanting to be held, not wanting picture taken when Mom brings out camera, seems to smile more only when leaving to go back to 3rd year of college. I don't want to put a damper on things but some days I wish I could be back where you are now. Precious picture of sweet baby boy-William and the pictures of his big sister. Hugs to all of you! Love Aunt Mary

Hey Sam,

This entry made me laugh...because I went through a similar thing last week with my almost 2 year old. Funny how cyclic things can be.

Liar, liar, pants on fire. With that smile, and those cheeks, how COULD he be anything but angelic??

I think after reading all of the responses, he should go to Brandy. With his sister. What's TWO more at her house??
