William's Nursery

Amy asked for pictures of the kids' rooms, and I am nothing if not obliging. William and I had a little photo shoot in his room while Caroline and Daddy were on their weekly Saturday morning date at McDonalds. William's room is quite small and I am certainly not a great photographer, but I think these shots will give you an idea of his space. As I was editing the pics I noticed a great big fingerprint on my lens, so excuse that, please!

The name banner I got from Etsy (idea stolen from Ephraim's nursery):

William's changing area, with the gorgeous family tree made especially for him by my dear friend Liz:

A close-up of the family tree:

William's crib:

William in his filthy, spit-up covered rocking chair. Notice the beautiful quilt hand-made by Melisa's mother-in-law:

My main man showing off his mad almost sitting up skills:

William's favorite part of the room: the fact that our cat, Ellie basically lives in there these days.

My favorite part of the room:

Every night before we go to bed when we go in to peek at our children, I am overcome by how sweet it is to have a peacefully sleeping baby in a crib. I just don't know how I'll stand it when I no longer have a baby in the house. Slow down, time.

Oh, I know. Slow down, time, is right. Not a sweeter picture than that of a sleeping baby... I love my kids - just that sweet innocent peaceful look on their sleeping faces. : ) Just wonderful! Love his room. Love the family tree!

Oh, I have to see him NOW! Get your butt on an airplane to Montana :-)

His room looks great. . . such a nice shade of blue. It is strange to see furniture that I thought of as Caroline's all decked out with his stuff. But his stuff does it great justice!

And I had to smile when I saw the name banner. . . I've been considering getting one for Hayden! Ha!

What a sweet room...and he is just too cute!! He's gotten so big since I saw him last, can't believe he's sitting up already... I agree, slow down time!

BEAUTIFUL! The only thing I'm still wondering though is how he can hold those cheeks up while sitting. WOW!

I loved the pictures of your kids' rooms. How can it be that William is almost sitting up and my little man won't even hardly roll over? Too bad William can't come over and give him a lesson or two. :)

We are on the verge of putting both kids in one room... I think I might be nuts!

P.S. I made a spelling mistake and deleted my first comment- sorry it left a "deleted comment" marker on your blog. :)
