We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Disney World with Steve's parents. We stayed at the brand-new Kidani Village villas at the Animal Kingdom. I can not say enough good things about the resort! The kids adored watching the animals from our balcony.
The animals are literally right out the windows. You can see them all over the hotel, and even just outside your room if you are lucky enough to have a Savannah view.
On our first day in the parks, we visited the Magic Kingdom.
We met the Fairy Godmother right outside Cinderella's Castle. Papa bought Caroline an autograph book, and she was instantly hooked on collecting signatures. We spent a good part of our vacation tracking down the characters, and she spent hours pouring through her book and planning which characters she still wanted to meet. A definite highlight!
William wasn't so sure about some of the rides, but he was sure that having ice cream with Papa was a great way to spend the morning!
When we met Mickey Mouse, William started jumping up and down, squealing "Mickey! Mickey!" Everyone in the room let out a collective "awwww." It really should have been filmed!
Everyday when William was ready for a nap, Nana and Papa took him back to the hotel which gave Steve and me more time to explore the parks with our big girl.

Did I mention she loved the characters? :)

On our second day, we visited Animal Kingdom. In true Clark family fashion, we were there plenty early enough to see the opening performance.

Caroline was not a fan of the Bug's Life show, but she sure looked adorable in the 3-d glasses!

We all had a character dinner at Chef Mickey's. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

William couldn't get enough of his Nana and Papa. I'm pretty sure they were smitten, too. :)

Caroline and I met the step mother and step sisters. She told me that the one on the right reminded her of Aunt Melisa. :)

Just us girls had lunch at Cinderella's Castle. It was so great to be with my sweet little girl. And it was definitely one of those moments when I appreciated how lucky I am to have a little girl - I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

She and I took a ride on the Carousel before heading back to the hotel. We may or may not have also belted out a variety of Disney songs on the bus, but I'll never tell. The poor people on the bus...

We also caught the princesses dancing with their princes on the castle steps. Is there anything better for a 5 year old???

We headed back into the park on our last night to ride a few more rides and catch the parade. Of course, we had to stop by Mickey's house to say hello one more time. William brought his beloved blankie, "moo-moo" with him. He nearly died of delight when Mickey put moo-moo on his nose just as William does.
