Baby's First Christmas

I'm enjoying this Christmas season more than I think I ever have before. Caroline is at the perfect age to enjoy the music, decorations, and magic of the season without being totally corrupted by the commercialism. She and I have all sorts of plans for decorating gingerbread houses, making cookies for Santa, and drinking hot chocolate Christmas morning - I love that we can make plans to do things that we both enjoy. And let's face it, holidays are always extra-special with a baby in the house. William is absolutely in love with the Christmas tree. Here are a few shots of him checking it out.

Oh I love how you have your nativity under the tree! We don't have that one and now I really want it!

I think the holidays get better each year around here. The kids enjoy it more and more and it makes it fun for everyone. Is it me or are William's cheeks slimming?

That girl! She's quite a ham. And that boy. . . just precious!

I can see what you mean about Caroline at the perfect age for Christmas now. Hayden is sort of into it (pointing out Christmas tree, Santa, ornaments, baby Jesus, etc) and liking to listen to "christmas songs" but he still doesn't really get it. It certainly is great to see it through their eyes, though!

Let the good times roll! And it just gets better and better every year, trust me...

We DO have that same Little People nativity and love it. (Aside from being confused by the random dog that apparently was present at Christ's birth...)

So glad to hear that baby Jesus gets chewed on in other people's houses too!

That's so funny! At the first pic I wondered if William loved his Little People as much as Anna did last year - yummy!
